On October 5th 2018, I will start a Weekly Chess Letter. It will consist of 3 elements, where the first is a game fragment based on one of my three principal works from Quality Chess (Rook vs. Two Minor Pieces, The Secret Life of Bad Bishops and Sharp Endgames). All material is new, but built on the concepts from my books.
The Danish Championship is ongoing with the 5th round being played today. Mads Andersen looks like the clear favorite and is also leading the table with ½ point – this young GM is a complete player and is set to cross the 2600 barrier at some point.
The following 4 game fragments are all taken from Gata Kamsky’s games played in Moscow Open 2017. Kamsky participated for the first time and ended up with 7/9 points and 5th place. You can read the full Chessbase report on the event here.
