I have finalized all material for the 2021 Chess Calendar – 365 chess positions taken from FIDE world championship matches in the period 1993-2005 when the title was split and there was both a FIDE and a classical world champion. In 2006, the title was unified with the infamous match Kramnik – Topalov.

The first 4 classes of Endgame Studies ended today, the next 4-week cycle of new classes 5-8 will start next Sunday, May 31.
Complex Middlegames 5-8: Starts tomorrow! Class 5 will be about Nimzowitsch and his treatment of the Nimzo-Indian in his famous book My System.
Interesting Endgames 9-12: Starts on Thursday, June 4.

The new 4-week cycle of Complex Middlegames deals with Nimzowitsch and how he played his opening in My System, the Ragozin and how to compensate for the absence of the dark-squared bishop, AlphaZero and its winning strategies against Stockfish in their 2018 match, and also long-term queen sacrifices.
